During our time in San Antonio, we stayed at the Emily Morgan hotel for 3 days. At the time, we wanted to stay there because it was next door to the Alamo. Little did we know that the hotel was haunted.
The Emily Morgan is usually ranked in the Top 5 of the most haunted places in America. In 2015, it was ranked #3 most haunted places in America.
The history goes back to the 1920s where the Emily Morgan was a hospital which featured a psychiatric ward and a morgue in the basement. They even do haunted ghost tours which cost $75.
Spending three nights there felt creepy. At night, you keep on hearing these noises machine noises, like rattling, thumps, just odd types of noises. I worked out in the morning and felt so uncomfortable in their gym. First of all it is a small gym, you can barely fit 5 people in there. The machines are really close to the wall mirrors. The treadmills are facing away from the mirror which I had a feeling of being watched all the time. From time to time I had to turn my head to just make sure no one was watching me. I felt extremely paranoid.
